Semi-Closed and Closed Circuit Rebreathers
Ray Bullion is the owner of Ray Bullion Sports, a manufacturers representative for a variety of SCUBA manufacturers. Ray is a retired US Navy Senior Chef Petty Office and an Eagle Scout. The highlight of his Navy days would be being part of the crew that re-commissioned the USS Missouri BB-63 in 1986. For their first cruise known as a shakedown cruise they went around the world. The USS Missouri is part of word history since the Japanese signed the unconditional surrender aboard on 2 September 1945. He was sailing and working on a ship that was probably the most historic ship sailing the seas.
When Ray retired in 1994 he began a new career as a sales representative in the SCUBA industry. One of the products he reps is a rebreather. Ray will be discussing both Closed Circuit and Semiclosed Circuit rebreathers (CCR and SCR). Ray is also an accomplished photographer and may work some of that into his presentation.
CCR’s and SCR’s have come a long way in the last several years. Ray will bring us up to date on not only the functionality, but the pros and cons and what to look for in a rebreather.
